"Create an Effective Video Analytics System"

You have heard about all the benefits of video analytics and the stories about how analytics has helped security and law enforcement teams find suspects quickly and streamlined investigation time, as well as providing other useful intel. Join the ASIS Denver Mile-Hi Chapter for our May meeting to learn about the details and behind-the-scenes approach to actually setting up and implementing video analytics and meshing it with your video surveillance system.

Key objectives to be covered:

  • You’ve heard about all the benefits of video analytics, now learn the 3 biggest obstacles to rolling it out
  • Understanding the resources and key stakeholders needed before, during, and after implementation
  • System administration requirements
  • Managing the expectations of video analytics after the rollout

 

After the meeting, there will be tours available of the HSS Security Operations Center in groups of 5-10 at a time.

 

About our speaker:

Bryan Jones is the Vice President, Security Systems Integration, for HSS. Working from the Denver headquarters office of HSS, he directs the division’s day-to-day operations and sales and is the primary systems project consultant.

Jones joined HSS in 2011. Prior to that, he was Director of Operations for an electronic systems integration firm. He has been in the electronic systems integration industry since 1995 and has experience in virtually all aspects of this specialized area, including installation, service, project management, sales, operations, and management.

Jones earned his Industrial Security Professional (ISP) designation through NCMS, the Society of Industrial Security Professionals. This program’s purpose is to provide recognition of the professio

nal training and qualifications of veterans of industrial and government security.

He is a frequent speaker and presenter on electronic system issues. He has addressed, among others, the International Security Conference & Exposition (ISC) West and several Department of Defense seminars.

A native of New York, Jones holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from the Community College of Finger Lakes and has completed coursework at Syracuse University.

Jones and wife, Gabrielle, have three children, twins Sophia and Oliver and Simon. The Jones are very involved with the children’s activities such as swimming. He also enjoys golf.

Meeting Details:

The meeting is being sponsored by HSS and lunch will be provided at no cost to ASIS members and attendees. Be sure to register by Monday May 20 at noon so we have an accurate count for lunch. Lunch will be from Mod Greens and attendees will have a choice of a wrap or salad when completing registration. Drinks and chips will also be provided. Parking in the garage across the street will be validated at the meeting.
